We are delighted to let you know about a Scoring for Film & TV Masterclass with David McHugh later this month. This Film Scoring masterclass event is a collaboration between Pulse College and our MA in Scoring for Film & Visual Media program and Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and is targeted at composers, songwriters, directors & Musicians who wish to know more about music in film!

Saturday & Sunday / Sept 26 & 27th / 10am-5pm
This takes place at IMRO HQ, Copyright House, Pembroke Row, Dublin.

This Film Scoring masterclass is open to composers working in film, television (documentaries & episodic), concert music and commercials.

About David McHugh

David McHugh was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at SUNY Fredonia, majoring in piano, and a master’s degree in Composition at CUNY Queens.

Though his career has focused mostly on music composition, he has worked in many areas including writing, sculpture, architecture, photography, and furniture making. After twenty-five years of working as a composer of film and TV scores, he has also composed music for episodic television as well as concert music, documentaries, and commercials. David designed and heads an MFA Program in Film Composition at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina, USA.
