Pulse College Open Day

Imagine a career bursting with creativity. A career that focuses on the stuff you love to do…..  A career with great job prospects that’s great fun too along the way. For most people that would mean a lot, right?

While your Career is not everything… it’s pretty damn important for your overall happiness as a human being; not to mention peace of mind if you’re earning good money.

At Pulse College we don’t do “normal” run of the mill courses. But we do run courses that are driven by creative energy, enthusiasm and that cover topics that – generally speaking – our students REALLY want to do.

Courses that spark your creative genius and that ignite passion.

A great way to know if Pulse College and one of our creative media courses is right for YOU is by attending one of our Open Days.

Open Day is Open for Business – We’re Back!

As we’ve only just managed to come out of full lockdown –all our recent open days have been virtual events online.  However we are delighted to announce that on our next open Day on August 29th, you will have the opportunity to see the place and take it all in…… in person.

Making the Jump?

Making the transition from second to third level education is a big step in a student’s life. Taking responsibility for your own work and the demanding assignment deadlines – and holding yourself accountable to deliver the work on time – these are key parts of stepping up. Outside academia, it often means moving away from home for the first time and getting your first taste of independence. It’s a scary but exciting time. Even if you don’t need to move out of home, you’ll be moving into an independent, adult world where you have more control over your studies – and indeed your life. It’ll be fun!

Alternatively, you might be confused and at a crossroads in your career. Despite the difficulty of the pandemic, right now it does give everyone an opportunity to stop, reflect and reassess your personal and professional goals. For this reason, it worthwhile casting your eye over all our courses and considering where your creative interests really lie – there’s plenty of choice out there so keep an open mind! And come along to our open day where you’ll get the chance to talk it all through with us -and more….

Why attend?

  • Get a sense of the place – You can read about the world-class facilities and expert lectures & tutors in their fields…or… you can see for yourself..
  • Determine how easy & accessible it is for your personal situation. While Google Maps is generally quite accurate, getting there yourself gives you a good knowledge of the location.
  • Rule in and rule out your options… Maybe you’re not sure between gaming or animation?
See what’s involved on a practical level in both optoins
  • This will be a great opportunity to meet & speak with your potential lecturers..
  • Get the low-down on the modules in each course – the devil is in the detail.

So how do you get the most out of the Open-Day?

Preparation, Preparation, Preparation

As specialists in creative media education – we offer an exciting, dynamic set of courses so it’s well worth doing your research before you come along – go through the website and study the different courses available, the qualifications needed and work out which ones might be a good fit for you, given your interests and skills.

As part of this preliminary research, it’s a good idea to have a list of questions ready to go. Whether that’s old school pen and paper, a printed sheet or a list saved on an app or your iphone notepad, it’s important to have a checklist of questions and to be clear in your own head about what you want to learn over the course of the day and what you’d like to get out of it.

By doing your homework beforehand and knowing what you want to ask… you’ll come away with the information you need to make the right decision.

Final Words

An open-day is a great opportunity to peak behind the curtain and get a real insight into a college. Our in person open-day on August 29th offers exactly that opportunity

If you are interested in attending, you can register here or if you have any questions let us know.
